What are All-On-6 Dental Implants?

All-On-6 dental implants can replace missing teeth of the upper jaw and restore a natural-looking smile. Used for patients who are missing the majority or all of their upper teeth, All-On-6 dental implants use only 6 anchor screws to firmly secure a full set of teeth to 6 dental implants. Traditional dental implant surgery requires 1 screw for each individual tooth that is being replaced, meaning patients with 8 missing teeth would need 8 screws placed. WHEN ARE ALL-ON-6 DENTAL IMPLANTS RECOMMENDED?

If you have lost all or the majority of the teeth of your upper jaw and have sufficient jawbone density, an All-On-6 dental implant procedure may be right for you. Ideal candidates for All-On-6 dental implants are also patients who currently wear traditional dentures, as All-On-6 dental implants are a more natural-looking, comfortable tooth replacement option that does not cause bone loss. All-On-6 dental implants are only for the upper jaw; if you are missing teeth on your lower jaw, dental implant surgery or All-On-4® dental implants may be right for you. For patients who are missing all of their teeth, a combination procedure of All-On-6 dental implants and All-On-4® dental implants can help restore a full smile.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT DURING AN ALL-ON-6 DENTAL IMPLANT PROCEDURE?

With the information gathered from a digital impression and dental X-Ray scan, Dr. Classi is able to virtually plan your surgery to avoid any unforeseen complications. Virtual surgery planning allows Dr. Classi to evaluate small details of your unique case so that he is fully aware of all of your specific needs when placing All-On-6 dental implants. A digital impression and dental X-Ray scan can help assess your jaw health and properly plan where dental implants will be placed for the most successful All-On-6 dental implant procedure possible. If Dr. Classi notices that you have low jawbone density, he may suggest a bone graft prior to your All-On-6 dental implant procedure. An All-On-6 dental implant surgical guide will be made that will help Dr. Classi accurately place your dental implants with great precision.

If there are any remaining loose or unhealthy teeth of your upper jaw, they will be carefully extracted before your All-On-6 dental implant procedure, depending on your individual case. 6 anchor screws will then be carefully placed using the surgical guide. For patients with posterior bone loss, Dr. Classi is able to specifically angle All-On-6 dental implants. Following the placement of your All-On-6 dental implants, temporary crowns will be placed. These crowns will be worn while your All-On-6 dental implants undergo the process of osseointegration, which is when your dental implants securely bond with your living jawbone and gum line. Osseointegration is necessary to stabilize dental implants because these implants will act as the root of your teeth and must be securely bonded with your jawbone for stability. The process of osseointegration may take 3-6 months. Following this period of healing, you will return to our office and have your permanent dental crowns placed on your All-On-6 dental implants.

DOES DR. CLASSI OFFER REVISIONAL ALL-ON-6 DENTAL IMPLANT SURGERY?

Yes, Dr. Classi does offer revisional All-On-6 dental implant procedures if you have undergone dental implant surgery by a less skilled physician. Dr. Classi will only replace dental implants if they are failing, ineffective, cause you pain or discomfort, or if he feels you would benefit from All-On-6 dental implants. Dr. Classi will work with you every step of your All-On-6 dental implant procedure to ensure that you are able to smile confidently again.

					Second time leaving a review for this amazing team and staff. Went in for a cleaning after getting a root canal done. Needed to get a scaling and root planing procedure done because Covid prevented me from having a cleaning for an extended period of time and a surface level cleaning wasn’t going to be able to remove the bacteria below the gum line. All of this was new to me and explained professionally and simply by the staff. Elena executed the procedure with care, expertise and overall just a pleasantness about her that made the process very easy to get through. The procedure was supposed to take place over 2 days, taking care of each half of the mouth over two separate days. After finishing the first half, Elena asked me if I just wanted to lock in and knock it all out in one shot which I was happy to do. From the happy greeting I get at the door from Randi who has helped coordinate all of my appointments around my busy schedule, to the work I’ve had done in the chair, the team here is bar none the best I’ve come across and deserves the highest praise I can relay. Grateful as always for you all!

					I Had a full top set of upper implants done by different dentist which took over 5yrs to complete. When a full set of lowers was needed I had the anchors and a temporary set of teeth all done in one visit with Dr. Stein DDS MD. Installing the anchors and Dr Classi installing the perfectly fitting temporary set of teeth . I revived high quality care and it will all be completely done in 6 months! Instead of 5 years . I highly recommended this Dynamic Duo of Dentistry.

						Doctor Classi is by far the most talented dentist I have ever gone to.  His attention to detail is amazing.  Dr Classi repaired years of sub par work and my teeth have never been in such great shape.  I have now been going to him for years and could not recommend him more.
